Dear delegates of Churkin Moscow International Model United Nations 2017!
Besides organizing the conference itself, the Secretariat is interested in creating as comfortable conditions for your arrival to CMIMUN 2017 as possible. That is why the International Delegations Department is actively working to make the reception of Russian visa an understandable and easy process for foreign delegates. The support by the Secretariat consists in providing you with a telex number, which makes receiving the visa significantly easier compared to the standard procedure, but it does not excuse you from finding out the details of applying for the Russian visa in your particular country by yourself.
Those who need visa support have to:
1. Apply to a chosen committee and become a delegate.
2. Send a copy/scan of passport with personal information, the document number and its due date to the address email@example.com. The copy has to be clear, the photo in the document has to be recognizable. The letter topic has to be filled in as in following sample: "JohnSmith – UNESCO".
NB! Make sure that the passport on which the visa is to be issued will be valid for at least six months after visa expiration date and that there will also be at least two clear pages for the visa stamp.
3. Find out by yourself where you need to apply for a Russian visa in your particular country (Russian Embassy, Russian Consulate or Visa Centre), and inquire which extra set of documents is required for applying for a visa apart from telex number. The type of visa you need is a study visa.
4. After you prepare all the necessary additional documents and we send you a telex number, you can get your visa in an institution responsible for that in your country.
In order for all those who need visa support to be able to attend CMIMUN without any difficulties, we kindly ask you not to postpone sending passport data and preparing all the necessary extra documents till the last moment.
ًWe don't accept applications anymore. You can still apply for a visa via consulate, however, we remind you that it might take a significant amount of time.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact foreign participants group via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org; the letter topic has to be "Question – Visa".
